FAQ

Can I injure myself while "turtling"?
The turtleboard® is a demanding piece of sports equipment and, like other board sports, carries a certain risk of injury. So it should always be done with great caution and in compliance with ours safety instructions We also recommend that you use our supplied RAILS at the beginning - these are simply stuck under the board (you can find the instructions on the product and safety information page or in the product details). When you feel safe on the turtleboard®, you can carefully remove the RAILS again using a hair dryer.

How long does it take normally take to be able to "float" safely?
You should plan some time before you get a safe feeling on the board - you don't learn to surf in one day either.

Is the turtleboard® comparable to other BALANCEBOARDS?
No, not at all! In contrast to the conventional balance boards, the special shape of the turtleboard® (paraboloid of rotation) together with our ball enables a completely new and multi-dimensional training combined with a great feeling of floating under the feet.

What is the difference between the "old" and the "new" version?
The new, further developed turtleboard® V2 will be available from 2024 with an improved shape: the curvature is now oval and no longer round - this gives the rider even more board control and greater resistance when moving on the board. An ultimate freeride feeling with maneuver-friendly driving characteristics is the result of the V2.

Why do you have such a low stock of boards?
Quite simply: we produce every board in elaborate manual work and that takes time - our goal is not to manufacture a mass product but an individual one-off. So we ask for your understanding if the boards are sold out - we will inform you regularly on instagram, facebook and here when we will do a RESTOCK.

Is your ball included?
Yes, every turtleboard® also includes our special ball in the set - only with this the turtleboard® works as described.

Should I put a mat under it?
Actually, this is not necessary, as our ball rolls comfortably smoothly over the floor. However, we recommend a thin carpet or a thin mat to protect the floor and the turtleboard® from possible damage.

Can I use the turtleboard® for rehabilitation work?
We do think that certain exercises with the turtleboard® can be helpful and supportive in the rehabilitation center. But here we ask you to ask your doctor for advice in advance.

Is the turtleboard® also something for me if I have not come from board sports?
Sure, of course! In addition to the fun factor, the system also trains balance and reaction, various muscle groups, the core muscles and the cardiovascular system.

Up to how many kg can the boards be loaded?
Up to approx. 110 kg.

Are there different sizes?
No, the turtleboard® is currently still one size - but we have chosen the dimensions for the stand so that both large and small people can stand on it safely and securely.

What are the dimensions of the turtleboard®?
The turtleboard® is approx. 75 cm long, approx. 48 cm wide and weighs approx. 2.8 kg.

Can I test the turtleboard® in advance?
Talk to us if we can offer you an opportunity to test.

How do I care for the turtleboard®?
You can clean the turtleboard® with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Please do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, as these can damage the surface of the turtleboard®.
